Apologies for the blurry shot but we wanted to put one up taken right after he met his possible new owners and this was about the best we could get. Thrilled to be in our feeder's arms in his bathroom quarantine, since we other three still do not wish to deal with him. He has no idea what fate awaits him.
Yup, he met two wonderful people who will take him away next week. Efforts to find him another home have proved successful through the help of our generous advocate Kats (thank you!!!). Though now our feeder is going through the expected woes of losing him. It's so achingly hard to spend all this time gaining trust and building bonds and sharing so much affection and play only to have it end in a goodbye. She's done it before but it never gets easier. Even if we know this will be much better for him. He'll get more concentrated attention and a lot more lap time, his favorite thing in the world (next to food). And no more of the three of us hissing and growling at him whenever he's allowed inside.
It's contingent on whether he can adjust to the new home, of course, where he'll have to make friends with a dog and stay indoors which may be a challenge for him. Or it may be just perfect. He may decide being stroked while sprawled in a lap is more enjoyable than scouting the neighborhood or chasing ground squirrels. We shall see ... love does tend to conquer all. Or at least quite a lot.
